My name is Emma. I am eight years old. Last Saturday, I went to the beach with my family. It was a sunny and warm day, perfect for fun by the sea!
At the Beach
We arrived at the beach in the morning. The sand was soft and yellow, and the water was blue and shiny. I ran to the water and felt the waves on my feet. They were cool and made me laugh.
My dad set up a big umbrella, and my mom unpacked sandwiches, fruit, and juice. My little brother, Tim, played with his toy car in the sand. I built a big sandcastle with a bucket and shovel. It had a tall tower and a big wall.
Fun in the Water
After lunch, my dad and I went swimming. The water was cold, but I didn’t care. We played with a ball, and I tried to float on the waves. My brother was scared of the water, so he stayed with Mom and watched us.
Finding Shells
Later, I walked along the beach with Mom. We looked for pretty shells. I found a white shell and a pink one. They were small and smooth. Mom said I could take them home.
The Sunset
In the evening, the sky turned orange and pink. We sat on the sand and watched the sunset. It was so beautiful! I felt happy and tired after a wonderful day.
A day at the beach is my favorite thing. I love the sound of the waves, the soft sand, and the fun with my family. I can’t wait to go again next weekend!
